Frame basket

This traditional frame basket is based on a very old design. Commonly made by farmers, landworkers and gypsies rather than basketmakers they were often made from hedgerow materials - these ones include forraged willow from a park in Ealing, as well as regular Somerset grown willow.
They take longer to make than traditional stake and strand baskets and this is reflected in the price.
They're hardwearing so perfect for gardening and harvesting.
If I have them in stock I will send you a picture of the ones I have so you can choose, otherwise I will make one to order so please allow up to four weeks for delivery. However, please bear in mind that these baskets are seasonal, and if I have run out of material for this year I can put you on a waiting list for next year once the willow has been harvested.
